16/02/19 - 11:25 - The broadband outage has been resolved.  The repair of the broken fibre resulted in the failure of another providers equipment upstream of our realm.  Once this was replaced normal service resumed.

The broadband outage affecting north-east users has now been resolved.

Broadband outage affecting north-east users

Please note that we are experiencing a broadband outage affecting some customers in the north-east, with reports from customers in Durham, Peterlee and Hartlepool.

Our engineers are working with suppliers to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Broadband outage resolved

The incident which affected some broadband users this morning has now been resolved. 

A main network operation centre belonging to one of our suppliers suffered a power cut as of 9:13AM due to external works in the local area.  Automatic fail over power proved to be unstable and there was some service interruption to voice and data services for a number of customers, while services were re-routed to resilient locations.
